THICKET OF DIVERSITY (TOD)
Welcome to the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory of the Big Thicket National Preserve.

The Big Thicket Association is sponsoring the All Taxa Biological Inventory (ATBI) in partnership with the Big Thicket National Preserve. The BTA helps with fund-raising and organization of groups and individuals working on the project.
The Big Thicket Association administers and coordinates the ATBI in cooperation with the National Park Service (NPS). The ATBI has been undertaken to enhance the ability of the NPS management by identifying every living species inhabitating the Big Thicket National Preserve. And we already have working results:
Taxonomic Working Groups (TWiGS) are the heart and soul of the ATBI effort. They perform the field sampling and identification of organisms collected during the inventory. You may wish to get involved: Citizen scientists are volunteers that help provide key support to the ATBI effort. People of all ages enjoy opportunities to learn, explore, make friends, and contribute to a unique and worthwhile endeavor.
This undertaking would not be possible without generous support from persons like you. Donations help BTA fund researchers seeking knowledge about the components, abundance, and diversity of life in the Big Thicket.
